Palm Springs, California — The Adonix Edit's #1 LGBTQ+ US Destination

Palm Springs isn't just gay-friendly. It's gay-built.

The city has more LGBTQ+-owned resorts than anywhere else in the world, a permanent LGBTQ+ majority in local government, and scores a perfect 100 on the Human Rights Campaign's Municipal Equality Index every single year. When you land here, you're not hoping you're welcome — you know you are.

This is The Adonix Edit's kind of place: luxury, sun, community, and zero apologies.

Where to Stay

These luxury hotels are fully LGBTQ+ welcoming and our top picks — especially for women and non-binary travelers (most dedicated gay resorts in Palm Springs skew men-only).

Palm Springs Pride — November 6–9, 2025
Theme: "Be Heard." Free festival, iconic parade, the Arenas District goes all out. One of the best Pride events in the country.

Best weather: October through May. Avoid July and August — it hits 110°F and it is not the move.

The Arenas District

  • Hunters Palm Springs — DJs, dancing, drag, themed nights
  • Oscar's Tea Dance — iconic open-air Sunday dance party

What to Wear

Desert luxury. Palm Springs has a specific aesthetic and it rewards those who dress for it.

  • Wide-leg linen trousers + crisp white shirt
  • Oversized linen blazer + simple sandals
  • Bold sunglasses — non-negotiable
  • Gold jewelry — the desert light hits different
  • Pool looks: chic one-pieces or swim trunks. This is design, not beach.

Brands that fit the moment: Gucci, Toteme, Loewe, Aritzia for accessible luxury. Shop desert-ready linen styles on Amazon →
